Changes to Therapeutic Use Exemption Processes
Athletes
who are prescribed a prohibited substance or method for a legitimate medical
condition need to apply for a Therapeutic Use Exemption (TUE). Before they do
this, they should ask their doctor if there are any suitable permitted
alternative treatments.
With
the implementation of the new rules of anti-doping from the 1st
January 2009, there have been significant changes to the TUE process, also from
the 1st January 2009.
There
are now forms for the following
TUE Form V3.0 04/01/2010 Beta2 Agonist Form 04/01/10
Athletes in the FIS testing pool (2 athletes from GBR) must send any TUE forms to FIS for processing. All other applicants must send forms via their home nation
